Warwick Bowls
THE semi-finals of the club selected pairs were played on Saturday and both were entertaining games, the first was between Sue Valentine and Barry Johnstone v Alex Naylor and Doug Warr, where Barry’s team took the early points to lead 8-2, but then Doug’s team won the next four ends to take the lead – but only briefly – before Sue and Doug won the game 20-15. The second game between Chris McCosker and John Ruhle v G. Creighton and Ken Bryson went along to the 11th end with Ken’s team having a handy lead of 13-7, but then J.R. put his foot down with a couple of fours and went on to win 27-18. The two winning teams will face each other next Saturday.
Bowlers please note that the president’s sponsor day has been put back a week and will now be played on Sunday 28 September, and we look forward to a good roll-up this year.

It was a beautiful spring day but with a light fickle wind blowing from at least three points of the compass, with constant shifts. Anyway, that our excuse for some of the low scores, although some scores could have
been better if everyone shot on their own target. Congratulations Dave, you finally beat Beth. www.southerndownsrifleclubwebsyte.com.au.
