Charity begins at market

THREE months of hard work and planning will come to fruition this weekend as the Warwick Charity Markets hosts its annual Christmas event.
Kicking off at 8am on Sunday, the Christmas markets will feature a host of carnival-type activities, including face painting, a treasure hunt, stilt walker, balloon twister and even Father Christmas himself.
Co-founder of Warwick Charity Markets Virgil Bradfield started organising the event in October and is crossing his fingers for favourable weather.
“There is a lot of work involved,” he said.
“I’ve done all the advertising – it’s all over the TV channels and radio stations which broadcast as far afield as Kingaroy and Tenterfield.”
The charity has been providing money and food to people doing it tough for the past 10 years.
“We have a trust account that we put all the money we raise, and if anyone wants help we just go and get it,” Mr Bradfield said.
Anyone interested in hiring a stall can contact Mr Bradfield on 0404 993 507.
