Arrests after police chase

A LAZY Sunday morning took a dramatic turn for Warwick police last week when an unmarked traffic vehicle spotted a stolen car on the Cunningham Highway.
Police say the car failed to stop when directed and sped off after it was seen between Warwick and Karara about 10.15am.
The vehicle and two occupants were located a short time later, having dodged stingers earlier on.
Police say the driver ran away from the vehicle into bushland where he was found by police.
The vehicle had been stolen on Saturday from Dubbo, New South Wales.
A 20-year-old Carrara man was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, failing to stop a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, unlicensed driving and obstructing police.
A 20-year-old woman from Dubbo has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and a 16-year-old female will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
