Warwick Bowls Club – Men’s Section
TODAY is Bev and Doug Christensen’s and Sue and Rob Valentine’s sponsored Cash Day. This is always a very popular day with all rinks full, so put your names up on the notice board or make sure you ring in by 12.30pm for play at 1pm. Visitors are welcome.

K.F.C sponsored bowls afternoon (draw of the cards). The winners were D. Neal, S. Valentine, E. Welsh d K. Bloomfield, L. Meiklejohn, B. Johnstone 17-17 (11 ends to 10 ends). Runners-up were L. Club Championship A Singles Final was played with Barry Johnstone verse Wayne Tucker 25-24. Congratulations to Barry on winning this very close game and to Wayne as runner-up.

Warwick Bowls Ladies Club – Ladies’ Section:
The men’s section have welcomed all our members to their social and sponsored mixed days and club drawn competitions, so ladies do come along and enjoy these days.
30 May, 7.30am: Catering for District Championship Mixed Pairs.
01 June, 9am: Mini spring clean of club with Work Camp ladies.
03 June: Setting up club at 3pm for Rose Bowl.
04 and 5 June: Rose Bowl Fours Carnival. Members to be at club 7.30am. Our member numbers being so small, it is hoped all hands will be on deck on the above days.
Warwick East Bowls
There was one game of triples in which P. Dipplesman, E. Norman and G. Farmer d G. Shelley, M. Wright and D. Meneely 19-13. There were two games of pairs, with D. Sullivan and C. Lawler defeating E. Diery and A. Wickham 20-16 and N. Wickham and V. Nelson defeating N. Farmer and N. Hassum 20-17. Our thanks go to president Bill for donating trophies which went to P Dipplesman’s and D Sullivan’s teams. Next Thursday is the monthly men’s triples, starting at 12.30 p.m. Skips please let the club know if your team is unavailable to play. If your team is playing, ensure that you have a full team on hand. There is a list on the notice board for anyone wishing to enter the club singles competition, which will be held on Saturday 6 June. Don’t forget also to consider joining in the social bowls with a visiting group of barefoot bowlers on Sunday 7 June. Play starts at 10am and the cost will be $15 for bowls and a sandwich lunch. Notify the club of your attendance by next Monday for catering purposes. Finally, the ladies are holding a cent sale on 13 June. Club members wishing to contribute to its success can do so by donating money or prizes to the value of at least $10.
