THE new and approved Plumb’s Chambers has hosted an opening night with local businesses and councillors.
After months of restoration work on the Fitzroy Street building, at a reported cost of over $1 million, it now has a new lease on life after work from the McConaghy Group and Brisbane-based heritage architect Andrew Watson.
“The transformation from a dilapidated, vacant old building will now see Plumb’s Chambers used as a fully functioning office or retail site as it attracts its first tenants and becomes again a working building in the Warwick community,” a statement said.
Businesses from across the Southern Downs were treated to finger foods, wine and beer with pictures of the buildings history on display.
Robert McConaghy said this was just a preview before the main event.
“We hope to introduce tenancy soon, hopefully very soon,” he said.
Leasing inquiries for the building can be made to Des Thomas on 3248 8000.
