Gold Coast duo to perform

A concert in the Swigmore Hall at Robert Channon Wines in Stanthorpe on Sunday at 2pm will be magical for lovers of the cello and classical guitar.
‘Duo Armonico’, Daniel Cunnington – classical guitar and Belinda Manwaring – cello, are based on the Gold Coast and recently performed at the Gold Coast Arts Centre to a sellout audience. They are now coming to play in the Granite Belt.
Their program will feature the Vivaldi guitar concerto in D major, some beautiful Spanish pieces for guitar by Granados, duets for cello and guitar by Beethoven, Romberg and Burgmuller and solos for cello including Bach’s Suite No 3.
Tickets are $20, including a glass of wine in the interval.
Lunch beforehand will have a Spanish influence and is $25. It will also be a match for the release of
the new vintage of Robert Channon Verdelho.
The winery concert series continues in September with jazz from Aperitif Jazz Ensemble and Teri Welles in the Singing Lake Café for Father’s Day lunch on September 4. There will be a cover charge of $10 for lunch and bookings are essential.
To book, contact Robert Channon Wines on (07) 4683 3260.
