Carbon Tax debate

As a teacher, one of the most important things I can teach is the ability and desire to be a critical thinker. Asking ‘why?’ is a good thing.
There has been much discussion of late about the Carbon Tax. Whether you are for it or against it, there is no denying that it has, at the very least, brought the urgent issue of how we consume our limited resources into our collective consciousness. That is also a good thing and will hopefully lead to voters doing their own research and forming their own opinions, not just one placed upon them by someone else.
For my part, a few dollars a week seems a very small price to pay, provided those dollars are put to effective use. The price of even more delay is not a happy thought!
