THE Southern Downs Heritage Festival was officially opened by Dr Denver Beanland – former president and member of the Royal Historical Society Historical Society of Queensland.
The launch was held on Thursday night at the Australian Rodeo Heritage Centre 4 Alice Street, Warwick.
The Festival runs from 15-25 April and is part of the National Trust Heritage Festival – Queensland “Discoveries and Rediscovering”.
Events are being held at the local heritage centres and museums across the Southern Downs as part of the celebrations.
