Shop, sit and savour seasonal produce

THIS weekend, the Warwick Seasonal Feast markets kick-off in their new location, the Warwick Art Gallery garden courtyard.
The relocation to this bright and open-air space is aimed at creating a vibrant food-fair atmosphere, where market goers will have an opportunity to shop and savour the region’s seasonal produce, thanks to the Southern Queensland Country Regional Food Network, according to Market co-ordinator Amy Walker.
“The seasonal feast team is looking forward to utilising the open-air garden, to not only showcase the region’s premier produce but to also create an event where people can not only shop, but sit and savour this produce,” Amy Walker said.
The move has been greeted with strong support, with Warwick Art Gallery director Karina Devine keen to see the vibrant community space utilised.
“The seasonal feast monthly market will enhance our visitors’ experience, and offer some great opportunities for our organisations to work together to promote the many talents of the Southern Downs region,” she said.
The network’s popular seasonal bites will give shoppers a taste of autumn, complete with recipe cards to cook and create at home. Also confirmed for 21 May is the SQCRFN Co-op stall, artisan bread baked by Zest, artisan wares by Garden Devine, Peck’s Mobile Coffee and local musician Clayton Vellacott.
The Warwick Seasonal Feast Markets will be held on the third Saturday of every month from 8am to noon. To keep up-to-date with all of the seasonal feast happenings follow them on Facebook.
