Sporters kicked off winter with a chilly start even at the later tee off time on Sunday. Nikki Waterworth settled straight into winter with a Sporters win. Her score relegating Terry Byrnes to the runner’s up position. Matt Waterworth kept things in the family. He finished the round with the Best Gross score and picked up the Pro Pin. Marg Locke and Aaron Simmers featured in the run downs. Bob Watts was on song at the 12th while Dick Hilton claimed the pin at 17. Sporters President Ray Thorn snuck off with one of the meat trays. The other found a home with Phil Zikan.
It’s officially winter which means Sporters will now tee off between 8.00am and 8.30am each Sunday.
