Some 14 months ago the Gillard government, Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott promised affordable broadband at $24 a month, now Telstra’s cheapest plan is $73 a month. Not only can’t the country afford the $50 billion for this white elephant, but many working families and pensioners can’t afford it either.
Suppose these persons can always use smoke signals as a means of communication – well, no that is not an option either as this will cause pollution and they will be hit with Gillard’s and Oakeshott’s carbon tax.
Really can this mob deliver on anything they promise?
