No need to import apples

Australia will import New Zealand apples left me flabbergasted. Our growers have more than enough to contend with from floods, droughts, flying foxes and government regulations without having the mat pulled from under their feet by the Prime Minister.
It isn’t only the Granite Belt that will be wrecked. Tasmania will suffer severely and so will parts of Victoria.  I hope that growers across the board, together with their parliamentary representatives, will pressure the government to do a back-flip on this. They’ve done plenty of back-flips already – remember ‘no carbon tax with my government’ before the last general election – another one wouldn’t hurt them.
