Snow peas and sugar snaps are now in season, gorgeous green, snappy and delicious. If you can stop eating them fresh try this Asian inspired entrée or side dish.
Ingredients:
Asian inspired snowpeas and sugarsnaps
Two cups of snowpeas and sugarsnaps
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Chilli – A little or a lot depending on your heat tolerance!
1tsp fresh ginger chopped finely
Olive oil for cooking
1tsp toasted sesame seeds
1tbsp soy sauce to serve
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Fry up garlic, chilli and ginger in olive oil for 3-4 minutes.
Add the peas and fry for a few minutes – don’t lose the vibrant green colour by overcooking.
Season and add the soy sauce along with the sesame seeds and serve immediately
