New yoga classes to start soon

With yoga, you start where you are, with the condition of your body right now, today. Whatever condition that is!
In a BHereNow yoga class we let the practice come to meet us there. The reasons people are attracted to yoga vary.
It is usually the desire to stretch and become more flexible. Some of us seek relief from a physical, mental or emotional problem, and many simply want to learn how to relax. Yoga also attracts spiritual seekers with its transformational capacity to expand our awareness.
The aim of these classes in Stanthorpe is to support you in living with health and peace of mind. It offers an opportunity to foster and deepen connection with yourself.
If you are stressed out, there’s the opportunity to learn to relax. If your body needs toning, yoga poses [asana] will provide strength and balance without straining your joints.
If you are feeling stiff, you will enjoy the gentle stretching experienced through the asana sequences. The Sanskrit word “asana” means “posture” but is more than that. It means “comfortable, steady pose”.
Yoga is non competitive, it’s about listening to your body. Breathe, Relax, Feel, Observe and Allow are elements that facilitate the benefits of yoga, along with an attitude of not being too hard on ourselves.
In recognising the body-mind-spirit connection, yoga opens our bodies with these centuries old asanas, utilises breath as a life providing source, and creates the space for the liberation of spirit.
Never done yoga and someone suggested it might help you to manage stress, impart a sense of wellbeing or help to improve your fitness? Or all of the above?
Yoga is good medicine through all the seasons. It is of great benefit in the cooler months when we are less active and spending time inside. Through winter we sit more and lower temperatures stiffen the joints.
There is no need to be super flexible or to know yoga philosophy and Sanskrit to start a class.
Yoga practices are what we would do if we had deeper contact with our body and mind. We stretch, we squeeze and compress, we order our thoughts, we focus on something beautiful so that we forget the hard parts of our day, we visualise, and we enjoy breath and laughter.
