A trip down memory lane

Members of the Warwick Combined Probus Club celebrated Seniors Week with a visit to the historic movie theatre in Clifton, followed by lunch at the Steele Rudd Pub at Nobby.
The outing was a trip down memory lane, with two Tom and Jerry cartoons, and a 1949 western movie starring Errol Flynn.
This resulted in much dis-cussion of the Saturday afternoon visits to the flicks where we stood for the anthem before enjoying a cartoon, newsreel, serial and two feature films, separated by interval when Jaffas and drinks were available – and all this for sixpence. The ladies remember when Errol Flynn had them entranced, without even a hint of bare torso.
