10 markets to go until Christmas!

Kerry Perrett, owner of Crafty Kerry’s and Anna Vukovic , owner of Anna’s Candles are the feature stallholders for the Market in the Mountains.
The Market in the Mountains’ feature stallholders are side by side every second and fourth Sunday at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre – Kerry Perrett, owner of Crafty Kerry’s and Anna Vukovic, owner of Anna’s Candles.
Kerry and Graham Perrett from Crafty Kerry’s can help you with all your greeting card needs, especially for Christmas. Kerry and Graham have been making cards and novelty gifts as a hobby for more than six years and are a regular at the markets.
At Crafty Kerry’s you can find a wonderful range of handmade cards for every occasion. Don’t forget to get your overseas Christmas cards away early this year. Look out for Kerry and Graham in the Exhibition Room off to the side of the main hall.
Anna from Anna’s Candles started making candles more than three years ago, after walking past a candle shop in Brisbane.
“I just loved the look and fragrances of the candles and started making them as a hobby. After moving to Stanthorpe, I brought my handmade candles along to the markets as well as opening a shop just 10km south of Stanthorpe at Jamworks of Glen Aplin on Townsend Road and the New England Highway, Glen Aplin.
“We have melts for oil burners and mosaic candle holders. The tealight candles for only $2 are popular in varies fragrances, such as Cherry blossom, Vanilla and Sweet Lemon Grass, just to name a few. “
You will also find Peter Ingall from Jamworks of Glen Aplin at the Market in the Mountains in front of the stage area in the Stanthorpe Civic Centre, Marsh and Lock Streets, Stanthorpe.
The markets are a great opportunity to pick up some wonderful food delights, fresh produce, and enjoy a cuppa at the Crafter’s Cafe.
The market organisers, Stanthorpe Crafters and Hobbyists Inc donate a stall every market for the Charity of the Day. Local community groups fundraise and gain some much needed public awareness, so come and support Whistlestop, a wonderful group of volunteers who look after the Stanthorpe Rail Station. Doors open from 8am to 12pm this Sunday.
