Stanthorpe Film Society will be showing the 1978 musical Grease this Saturday 24 September at the Arcadia Theatre in Railway Street, Stanthorpe to commemorate the life and career of Olivia Newton-John.
Guests are encouraged to dress in Grease attire for the evening as they are transported back to the time when Olivia defined her career to audiences all over the world as Sandy Olsson.
At the time Grease was the highest-grossing musical film and the soundtrack remains one of the world’s best selling albums.
Dance, sing, and reminisce as you tap your feet to some of the best songs of a generation – from “You’re the One that I want” to Olivia’s signature solo recording and Grammy winning “Hopelessly Devoted to You”.
Olivia Newton-John died after a long battle with breast cancer on Monday 8 August, 2022.
