Very few businesses can claim they’ve been around for 50 or even 75 years.
But this weekend, Killarney Co-op celebrates the incredible milestone of 100 years in business.
One hundred years in business.
It’s a milestone that most country businesses will never achieve, but Killarney Co-operative has done just that.
Through drought, flood and even tornado, through good times and bad, the co-op has been a huge part of Killarney and the surrounding community.
At its very core, the co-op is what we talk about when we discuss the community.
I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing the stories from the community, staff (past and present) and from those who have had a business relationship with the co-op over the past 100 years.
And if the last hundred years is anything to go by, the next 100 will be even more spectacular.
