Twenty members of the Granite Belt Art Trail boarded a bus bound for their sister art studio, the Condamine Country Art and Open Studio.

The bus trip provided the experience of seeing and chatting with other artists on a trail as viewers not artists.

GBART president Roxane Scott said walking a mile in others’ shoes is definitely a way to improve your own performance.

The bus load of art lovers attended the Willow Tree Art Collective, Killarney, Tannymorel mural, the Hermitage Sandstone and Mosaic picnic shelter for a fabulous, boxed lunch by Vincenzo’s Big Apple Cafe, Warwick Art Gallery and the Warwick Pottery Club.

GBART vice president Linda Hodson said she found the day fascinating.

“I hope our artisans took away a sense of how important it is to engage your audience and some innovative ideas on how to showcase their own talent,” Ms Hodson said.

The other purpose of the day was to give out the GBART goodies!

Artisan application kits with everything artisans need to know to prepare to apply for GBART 2023 were an onboard treat.

The applications open in March 2023.

The next mystery art tour is planned for 27-29 October 2023.
