Punk in the park

Lee McLean tried to keep up with the youthful enthusiasm of Alayah and Axel Hobson and Edward, Scarlett and Willow Shaugh.

Patrons of Granite Belt Music Council’s (GBMC) Punk n Pun party in Weeroona park Saturday rocked the afternoon away to the sounds of Kathleen Turner Overdrive (KTO), Punktilicious and 2022 Stanthorpe Busker’s Festival winner, Mark “Shieldsy“ Shield.

Age was no barrier with the audience including rockers from all ages and walks of life.

GBMC council president, Kelvin Johnston could not have been happier with the day.

“It was such a lovely day in the park with very real connection between artists and the community,“ he said.
