Keeping up with social media in a fast changing world can be extremely challenging, which is why the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce hosted two interactive sessions run by social media expert Tracy Sheen in Stanthorpe on 14 and 15 June.

Tracy, an author and highly sought-after digital strategist, covered various aspects of social media marketing including content creation, audience engagement and platform optimisation.

She started by highlighting the power of social media in driving business growth. With a wealth of experience working with both small and large enterprises, she stressed the importance social media for fostering customer relationships and expanding market reach.

Participants learned practical techniques to craft compelling content and create engaging social media campaigns. They also received tips on how to enhance their social media profiles, identify their target audience and create posts that would resonate with potential customers.

People were encouraged to ask questions about their own strategies during the sessions so specific situations could be unpacked and strategies suggested.

Sheila O’Boyle, owner of accommodation house Glen Lough Cabins, said Tracy’s workshop had been a gamechanger for the business.

“I now have a clear understanding of how to use social media effectively to showcase our accommodation and engage with our customers.“

The Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce president, Graham Parker, said he was pleased with the workshops and said the chamber was planning more educational initiatives to help local businesses.

“These workshops have been a pivotal part of our Small Business Evolution Series, which we have successfully delivered in recent times,“ he said.

“There are two remaining workshops in this series, and people shouldn’t miss them.”

The next workshop, titled ’Your Team, Your Rules – Teach Your Team to Work Within Your Leadership Style’, will be held at the Stanthorpe RSL on Wednesday, 28 June, commencing at 6pm.

To conclude the series on a high note, Tracy Sheen will return to deliver a workshop that promises to address all queries regarding the latest advancements in AI technology. Attendees will find out how to leverage chat GPT to enhance some of their day-to-day business operations. The workshop will be held at the Stanthorpe RSL on Wednesday, 12 July, starting at 6pm.

Mr Parker advised local business owners to book their places for the upcoming workshops.
