With the highly anticipated Stanthorpe Races just around the corner, all signs are pointing towards a promising and thrilling event on 21 October.

The organisers have been hard at work, and it is looking like the event will be bigger than last year.

President of the Stanthorpe Jockey Club for 32 years, Chip Brunckhorst, said attendees can expect the best atmosphere you’ll ever get on a racecourse.

“Everyone really gets into the occasion, coming out of winter it is the first major event so people seem to get excited for it more,” Chip said.

While the roster of horses and jockeys is yet to be finalised, previous years have seen participants flocking to Stanthorpe from Toowoomba, Warwick, Beaudesert, as well as from across the border in Mount Burrell and Glen Innes.

Hoping for a touch of rain to enhance track conditions, Chip remains optimistic about the conditions and encourages everyone to mark their calendars and make their way to the Stanthorpe Races.

Whether you’re a seasoned racing enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable day out, the Stanthorpe Races on 21 October present an opportunity to witness top-class horseracing.
