The fresher the animal the better the result

The numbers shortened this week for both the Cattle sale and the Sheep & Lamb sale, the pork and poultry numbers were still consistent with the previous weeks. The markets were in line with our southern partners with the prices firm to easing across the board for the cattle categories, the main denominator is the finish of the stock, the fresher the animal the better the result. The Shep & Lamb market was upside down compared to our southern partners, the market was firm to dearer across all categories, again with finish and freshness determining the results.
