WARWICK CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP HOPES DROWNED

There was the faint prospect of a great weekend of golf in the 2013 Warwick Golf Club Championships. However, any thoughts of Golf in the Rose City last weekend were drowned by days and days of rain.

Over one hundred players were ready, armed and dangerous – ready to take on the conditions and each other for honour board posterity. Fortunately all is not lost, the club championships have been postponed to the first two weekends of May (4 and 5, 11 and 12) so put the fire on ice.

The Red Rooster Rumble was also a washout. Weather permitting this weekend there will be play for the March monthly medal.

The President’s Cup will be played the following weekend March 17 – timesheets for both rounds are in the Pro Shop.

Of course there is still time for a lesson or two, to get those regrips done or get a whole new kit and caboodle before May. The Pro Shop is open seven days for your convenience. Give them a call or drop in.
