The Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) is on a mission to save local lives, and thanks to the Rotary Club of Stanthorpe, it’s coming to the region.

This mobile health initiative, operated by the Rotary Club of Warners Bay in collaboration with local Rotary clubs and community organisations, has been travelling across regional and rural New South Wales for over six years, offering free health check-ups.

MHERV was created to reach those who may not have seen a doctor in years.

With conditions like high blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol often going unnoticed until it’s too late, the van provides a vital service in detecting these silent killers before they lead to serious health crises like heart attacks or strokes.

While the program primarily targets men—who are often less proactive about their health than women—nobody is turned away.

The service is offered in a relaxed, confidential, and informal setting, where a registered nurse conducts tests and discusses any health concerns in the privacy of the van.

This initiative has already saved countless lives and improved the health outcomes of many individuals across New South Wales.

Stanthorpe residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for a quick, free health check-up. In just ten minutes, you can invest in your health or the health of someone you love.
