The 2024 Stanthorpe Eco Expo was a wonderful, inspiring day full of positive vibes and practical ways to live a more sustainable life. The free event was held on Saturday 7 September at the flourishing Whistlestop Community Gardens, Stanthorpe. The Eco Expo brought together expert speakers on a wide range of subjects which included indigenous plants, human nutrition, blacksmithing tool repairs, composting and slow stitching to mend clothes and recycle resources.

The day commenced with breathwork and yoga to set participants up for a vibrant day of sharing ideas and making connections. A community labyrinth workshop was a favourite for many participants, and for others it was the delicious vegetarian food from the Ananda Palli. Live music by local band The Dogwood Three concluded the fabulous day.

The Stanthorpe Eco Expo was made possible by Granite Borders Landcare and with generous grants from the Stanthorpe RSL and The Southern Downs Regional Council. The Stanthorpe Eco Expo committee would like to thank all those who came to share their ideas on the day.
