Aged care info morning

In celebration of Queensland Seniors Month, STAR Community Services is proud to host a special Aged Care Information Morning.

This free event aims to provide invaluable information about aged care services and support while fostering community connections in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

The morning tea session aims to address people’s questions and concerns about aged care services in a warm, inviting environment where they can feel comfortable seeking the support they need to maintain their independence in their senior years.

STAR Care Coordinators will provide practical guidance and answer attendees’ questions.

“We understand how daunting aged care can be for seniors and their families, especially when they are just starting out,” said Patsy Wilshire, CEO of STAR.

“We are aiming to create a comfortable space where people can have their queries resolved, understand their options, and feel supported.”

Celebrate Queensland Seniors Month

This event is part of the larger Queensland Seniors Month initiative, which celebrates the vital contributions of older Queenslanders and promotes community inclusion and wellbeing.

Throughout October, seniors are being celebrated across the state with events designed to enhance social connection and raise awareness of services available to older people.

The session will be held on Friday 11 October 2024 from 10am -12 pm at STAR Community Services office at 163 Palmerin Street, Warwick 4370

RSVP:

Spots are limited. Please RSVP by calling 07 4527 4111 or email marketing@starct.org.au or book online at surveymonkey.com/r/STARCareConversations

“We strongly believe that informed families make better decisions about aged care,” added Ms Wilshire.

“By providing these sessions, we hope to alleviate some of the stress and confusion surrounding aged care and help our community members feel more confident and supported.”
