Welcome to our 149th Stanthorpe Show – for visitors to our show we have lots of events to view and for competitors we have added more classes and received outstanding sponsorship from Roger Kay and Pursehouse Rural in Stanthorpe, along with Bill and Melissa from Mitre 10 and the Queensland Country Bank.

More led classes, more costume classes and even a ‘best school turnout’ class in memory of all students past who were actually able to ride their horses to school. So, pack your lunch and be well prepared for your day at school.

On Saturday we have included classes for Miniature ponies and horses, more Welsh classes and for the first time classes for Baroque Horses. These classes are for Andalusian and Friesan and others registered with their breed society. Lets hope for good entries in these new classes. The Distinct Breed Association has provided rosettes and a trophy for the winners.

Kerana from Ride Right Acupuncture has provided valuable vouchers in the led and ridden Quarter Horse classes. Meanwhile in the Dressage Arena very generous sponsorship from Waterbenders Plumbing is on offer in all classes.

Look out for the Supreme Champion Hack award later on Saturday afternoon – this prestigious trophy has been presented continuously since 1974 in Memory of Madeleine McMahon, an exceptional horsewoman of her time.

In the Show jumping arena, the action is non stop both days. With competitors travelling from northern NSW and southern Queensland the standard of competition will be exceptional. Clem Smith has had an outstanding 2024 season and will be keen to bring out some of his younger horses to start off the 2025 Show Circuit. Clive Hicks will be flying the local flag, while Nathan Johnson, Natasha McCabe, Hyden James, TJ Madigan and Jamie Page will be among the competitors vying for the prizemoney from local sponsors Neil Sullivan & Bathersby, Waterbenders Plumbing, 4 Waters Supplies, MAG Plumbing and Pursehouse Rural.

Come along to enjoy and support and encourage our competitors and have a great time at the 2025 Stanthorpe Show!
