Elusive owl on the prowl

A LARGE hand-made owl which featured as part of the Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival has gone missing and the home economics students of Warwick State High have called for it to be returned.

Measuring about five-foot in height, the owl was the standout piece of the Warwick State High School’s Jumpers and Jazz in July tree decoration.
A reward of $75 has also been offered for the return of the owl.
Word of the missing owl was spread across the recently launched What’s On Southern Downs Facebook page, which has attracted several comments.
“You’ve all seen the TV shows and you all know that you’ve only got 48 hours before the trail goes cold. Nothing yet at this end which means that the pr-owl-er is still at large,” the site’s manager, Jon Colfs, said.
“The stakes have been raised. $75 reward. Somebody knows something. We want it back and won’t stand for anybody defacing somebody’s hard work.”
Anyone who has seen the owl, or has information about its whereabouts, should phone 0402 447 857.
