Smoke hazard

LARGE volumes of smoke from a bushfire near Inglewood could affect residents within the Southern Downs, firefighters warned.
Rural Fire Service crews on Tuesday were battling a bushfire burning in the Yelarbon State Forest. The fire has been burning since Wednesday, 25 September but was not posing any threat to property.
The fire is producing large volumes of smoke which may affect residents in the Warwick, Texas, Karara and Inglewood areas and motorists travelling along Texas-Inglewood Rd, Texas and the Cunningham Highway.
Residents are advised to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory illness, keep medications close by.
Motorists travelling in the area are advised to drive to the conditions and with appropriate caution.
