WARWICK East State School’s office is already festooned with trophy ribbons but they’ll have to make room for more after the school – Queensland’s oldest – again won in the Rose City’s Spring Garden Competition.
The school won the Ingram Cup for the best garden in a school with over 100 pupils, and the Southern Downs Regional Council Shield for the best garden other than a home garden.
While students are justly proud of their school and their efforts in the garden they credit groundsman Lawrie Taylor with the gorgeous flower beds.
