Hiding the truth

Apparently the public service and police have been thought to be of few words regarding their input into the floods inquiry so Premier Bligh felt oblighed to clear the air. So Premier, I have to most politely request that you lift the gag on Queensland Health as well. With their voices now raised close to hysterical levels, department after department legal units complain, that I am overindulged with information. It is not your business they wail, to be in possession of your health notes. You must not know what we decide to do, because it is best left in our hands. We had a note attached to the degree that you might be “difficult” so as to warn the decision maker to take “special consideration” should FOI requests be made. Gagged, no way, just caring, warm hearted people acting in my best interests. Just as we now see flooded homes, grieving families and a flood inquiry from which has emerged the same government mindset that for over four years has smudged the truth, in the most obvious way, hoping against hope that “difficult” people will cop it sweet!
