SLADE holds a public meeting

Despite the cooler night, Warwick supporters of the vision to use the Slade site as a community/conference centre turned out in numbers on Sunday, to hear progress of Slade Lives Again – Development for Everyone (SLADE).
The recent meeting with the Southern Downs Regional Council was reported on, where the future business plans for the use and management of the site were discussed.
A detailed feasibility study is now required to be done by the group, to enable it to present a tender to the council later this year, confirming SLADE’s ability to take over and run the site, should it be given the opportunity to do so.
The dates of future information sessions will be available on the group’s website www.sladelivesagain.org
If you would like to support the efforts of the group financially, in a purely voluntary way, memberships of Slade Lives Again are available at $10 per person per year, available from any member of the committee.
Attendance at any functions under the banner of Slade Lives Again at the Slade site are free, and the group welcomes your attendance and participation.
