Romantic wedding at home

The groom’s family farm at Dalveen proved the perfect location for the wedding of Isobel Lawrie and George Miles on 13 May.

Isobel is the only daughter of the Late Jim Lawrie and the Late Anne Kennedy while George is the oldest son of Eric Miles and Birgit Schade.

Isobel was attended by maid of honour Brooke Thorne and bridesmaids Kaitlyn Naismith and Nikola Lawrie while George’s party included William Miles, Brenton Schnitzerling and Julian Baronio with no set best man.

Isobel said it was exciting to “finally tie the knot” after 11 years together.

She said family and familiar locations made the day extra special.

“I was able to stay at my childhood home in Glen Aplin (which is now an Air B’n’B) the night before the wedding with the girls which was so special,” Isobel said.

“We had a wonderful day with the gorgeous backdrop of the farm and stayed warm by the fire pits as the night cooled off.

“There were 140 guests in a stunning clear marquee on a hill overlooking the dam.

“I was walked down the aisle by my brother James.
