A representative from U3A was our guest speaker for April and she explained that U3A began fifty years ago in France. U3A began in 2005 in the Granite Belt region. U3A offers its members information of nutrition and diet, physical activities such as bush walking and gardening, and social networking within our community.

Our next guest speaker will be from the Italian Australian Welfare Assn on the ever-increasing need for Home Care.

A BBQ in the park was well attended and a busload of Celtic enthusiasts recently visited Glen Innes for their renowned Celtic Festival. Although the weather was not kind, an interesting day was had by all.

Our activity committee has plans well underway for our next activity, which will be the eagerly awaited Mid-Winter Feast in July.

The next meeting is 28 May at RSL at 9.15am. All welcome.
