Welcoming WillowTree 37

At the usual Wednesday gathering of Quart Pot Quilters in Stanthorpe on 26 March, our group welcomed Karen and Jill, together with companion dog Oscar, to tell us all about WillowTree37 Women’s Support Centre in Warwick.

The centre has been operating as Southern Downs Women’s Support Centre and was officially launched as WillowTree37 Women’s Support Centre on 1 April.

The ladies spoke of the work they do to help women who find themselves in all sorts of difficult situations, offering a cup of tea, a meal, advice, together with lots of kindness.

They spoke of the generosity of the community in the support given to the centre, both in donations of cash and supplies.

Our group were delighted to be able to hand over to Karen and Jill 25 patchwork quilts made by our members for them to distribute to those in need.
