Country music festival hailed a great success

The Travelling Country Music Association’s Ultra Golden Country Music Festival, held at the weekend, was a resounding success, with competitors travelling from all over south east Queensland and from as far away as Proserpine to compete.
Competitors played to a packed house and had sung more than 340 songs in the various sections by the close of competition.
This festival caters exclusively for over 50-year-old performers and has grown in popularity over the 10 years it has been held, so that it has now become a two-and-a-half-day event.
The 70 or more performers and their families and friends inundate the city for the weekend, generating income into our community.
