21st Century Kids on Tour comes to Warwick

The Gallery of Modern Art’s major summer exhibition ‘21st Century: Art in the First Decade’ comes to Warwick Art Gallery when 21st Century Kids Summer Festival on Tour presents a day of free activities for children and families at Warwick Art Gallery on Saturday.
Queensland Art Gallery director Tony Ellwood said regional galleries, art centres and venues around Queensland would host the activities in partnership with the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane as part of the 21st Century Kids Festival.
“21st Century Kids Summer Festival on Tour will feature 10 different drawing, craft and multimedia activities and short films developed by leading international artists,” Mr Ellwood said.
“21st Century Kids Summer Festival on Tour features interactive activities for children and families created by artists such as Fiona Hall (Australia), Bharti Kher (India), Campbell Patterson (New Zealand), Rirkrit Tiravanija (Thailand) and Jorge Méndez Blake (Mexico). The projects have been developed to offer children and families insights into contemporary art in the first decade of the new millennium,” he said.
The tour will take place from 10am to 1pm.
