A Big Sing Choir Event will be held on Saturday at the Williams Hall as part of the Warwick Peace Festival celebrations.
Three local choirs, Warwick Acapella, the East Street Singers and Conamine Children’s Choir, have been having lots of fun practising together for the last month to prepare some great music, enjoyable for all. They will be joined by a choir called Rosella Jam from the Gold Coast who have been practising away down there at the coast.
As well as the Big Sing, local group the East Street Singers will perform a set, as will Rosella Jam.
Rosella Jam is conducted by John Hornby, son-in-law of Lorna Shaddock so he has connections here in Warwick and is very keen to revisit and enjoy Warwick and the Peace Festival.
Zander Hulme, who grew up in Warwick, will perform some of his highly entertaining music with his ukulele and kazoo.
Michael Spiller will play his violin and Gabbi Laws, the flute. Jill Hulme, soprano, will join them for some trios. Come along and enjoy all the enthusiasm and talent.
The concert will start at 2pm and will cost $10 for adults, $8 concession and $5 for children.
Price of entry includes a home-cooked afternoon tea.
Proceeds from the afternoon will go to the earthquake victims in Sendai.
