Volunteers wanted

Organisers are keen to secure a pool of enthusiastic volunteers to help out at the myriad of events being held to celebrate Warwick’s 150th.
CEO of Warwick Tourism & Events Tracy Vellacott said the team would welcome volunteers with a wide range of skills, experience and talent.
“I imagine volunteers will bring great enthusiasm, along with valuable assistance to our celebratory events,” Mrs Vellacott said.
“Our needs will vary according to specific events but we will require ushers, reception staff, even raffle ticket sellers at formal events like the variety nights and Mayor’s Gala Ball.
“There will also be plenty of logistical help needed in setting up Leslie Park for the Family Fun Day, including people keen to assist with youth activities and merchandise sales.”
With just two weeks to go until celebrations start, residents are being reminded to upload their own images and stories to the council’s 150th website at www.warwick150.com
