Woman’s Day has joined forces with Miss Country Girl 2011 and with their support the winner will also be featured in fashion spreads and editorials in Woman’s Day Magazine.
Established in 2009 by Katie Jones from North West NSW, Katie’s vision was to provide a platform for country girls to connect with industry professionals and realise their modelling dreams. Each year thousands of girls register on-line and participate in the regional workshops and preliminary finals.
“I know what it’s like growing up as a country girl and the struggles one may have with geographic boundaries so I decided to reach out and help by taking the competition to them”, said Katie.
“We see young girls participating in the competition to build their confidence through the catwalk and deportment classes along with interacting with other contestants, making friends, and opening their minds to new and exciting opportunities, this is a fun a friendly competition with no experience needed.”
