Stanthorpe State School recently welcomed a very special guest to assembly, Yasmine McKillop.
Mrs McKillop was presented with $377 in front of a very excited audience of delighted students, the proceeds of a very special Free Dress Day, which was held in her honour in Term 3.
One of the school’s valuable parents, being the mother of two wonderful students Lachie and Dane, Mrs McKillop recently endured a very challenging fight with cancer and underwent a major, life-saving operation, which the school community was delighted to discover has been successful.
Stanthorpe State School students hope that the funds raised will assist her in meeting the costs of this surgery and aid in her speedy recovery.
