Best of British in Stanthorpe

The Rover Owners’ Association of Queensland (ROAQ) will host the biennial national Rover event, to be known as National Rove 2012, in Stanthorpe over the Easter weekend.
Around 112 Rover enthusiasts and in excess of 50 Rover vehicles will come to Stanthorpe from all states, with events to be held around the town and centred on the Exhibition Centre.
A feature will be a parade of these 50+ vehicles, flying Rover flags, through the Business District on Saturday at around 12.30pm.
ROAQ President, Ross McCormack, said, “This will be a rare opportunity for the people of Stanthorpe to see a wide range of one of Britain’s great cars, from the 1930s to 2004, all in one location. We chose Stanthorpe because it provides such a great variety of wine and food experiences, in a picturesque setting, for our interstate members.”
Models on display at the Exhibition Centre on Saturday morning will include Land Rovers and Range Rovers as well as restored pre-war and post-war Rover cars. This display is open to the public from 9.00am.
Functions will be held at the Exhibition Centre, International Club, The Queensland College of Wine Tourism and Happy Valley Resort.
