CSG, carbon on menu for AgForce field days

AgForce Projects is delivering free workshops in May to provide producers with an update on key issues affecting Queensland’s agricultural sector including the resources and carbon industries.
Field days are being held at Clifton on Wednesday, May 2, from 9am to 1pm and at Warwick on Thursday, May 3, from 8am to 12pm.
AgForce Projects CSG project manager Kate Dunn said the field days would provide an overview of some of the key legislation and policies impacting Queensland landholders.
“Landholders will find out about their rights and responsibilities under the current CSG legislation, how to secure cleared farming land or change incorrect vegetation maps by applying for a Property Map of Assessable Vegetation and an overview of Strategic Cropping land criteria,” she said.
“Landholders will also get the chance to hear about the Carbon Farming Initiative and what it means for producers, how to prepare for a carbon constrained economy and options for earning an income through emission reduction or carbon offsets.”
