Birthday bash with bite

Lawdogs Australia owner Matt Hibberd and Tyson, a 15-month-old male German Shepherd, who was the first puppy they had at opening last year and is still there on show.

It will be a ‘birthday bash with bite’ next month as local tourist attraction Lawdogs Australia enjoys their first birthday celebrations and you’re invited to join in the fun.
The party will include plenty of presents for locals and visitors, including discounted entry, free barbecue, free birthday cake, free farm animal display, free face painting, free trade display and of course the soon to be ‘as seen on TV’ live dog shows.
Owner Matthew Hibberd said, “It had been a very long and interesting first year in business and we can’t wait to have a birthday with bite and celebrate this first milestone.”
Australia’s first indoor dog training arena will also be officially named during the day and Lawdogs Australia are inviting students to suggest names for the arena.
They are hoping to honour a famous service dog from anywhere around the world involved in law enforcement or search and rescue work.
A free family entry pass to see a public show at Lawdogs will be offered to the winning entry. Send your idea, with a brief description of why you think that dog should be honoured, to lawdogsaustralia@hotmail.com and you could be a winner!
The trade display will include information and displays from numerous local businesses including We Care Country Kennels rescue dogs, Southern Downs Vet Service, obedience clubs, dog grooming, plants, gifts and treats, plus many more.
Any other businesses interested in being involved should contact Lawdogs Australia next week to secure a spot.
The celebrations will be on Saturday, September 15, at the Lawdogs Australia training centre at 335 Church Road, The Summit, from 10am.  Contact 0467 255 337 for more information.
