Invitation to digital literacy training conclusion

The free digital literacy workshops are almost at an end and Southern Downs Regional Council and GraniteNet are keen to celebrate the achievements of this project.

The community was invited to attend a demonstration of the new local history and food wikis and the Bookworms of the Southern Downs blog at the Stanthorpe Library on Wednesday, March 13, from 10.00 to 11.00 am. Morning tea will be provided.

Please RSVP by Friday 8 March to christine.taylor@southerndowns.qld.gov.au or phone the Stanthorpe Library on 4681 2141.

“Everyone is welcome to attend but participants in the digital literacy courses are especially encouraged to attend,” Sheila Stebbings, manager of community development, said.

“This project has provided a wonderful opportunity for participants to embrace new technology and we are looking forward to demonstrating what has been developed over the course of the project.”

This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through State Library of Queensland.
