Rack your brain, Allora

By JONATHON HOWARD

ARE you ready to rattle your brain for Allora’s 10th Annual Trivia Night on Friday, 31 May?
The St Patrick’s School P&F Association invites the wider Southern Downs community to test its trivial knowledge on Friday at the Allora Community Hall, Herbert Street during the 10th Annual ‘Rattle of the Brains’ Trivia Night fund-raiser.
Once again we promise a great night out with prizes, giveaways, pizza, supper and the bar will be operating.
At this time of year, the St Patrick’s School is always humbled by the wonderful generosity of our local and regional sponsors and the support by the patrons. The question rounds are still available for sponsorship.
Other donations received so far for the raffle on the night include fitness, meal, butcher and grain vouchers; John Deere children’s toys, wine, a camping tarp, gift vouchers and a picnic set just to name a few.
This year money raised will go towards the purchase of a much-needed replacement marquee. This marquee comes in handy for Anzac Day services and sporting events for the students. The library is also looking at installing a large monitor screen for the students to use with their technology.
Those wishing to test their trivia knowledge can nominate a team of eight by phoning the St Patrick’s School in Allora on 4666 3551 or email allora@twb.catholic.edu.au. If you are having trouble putting a team together, individuals can also nominate and we’ll find you a full team. At only $10 each, this can be paid at the door on the night.  As you book in early you’ll be sure to seat close to the action.
With great prizes, first prize $300, second $200 and third $100, try your hand at tossing for the rum bottle, plus dozens of other great prizes up for grabs.
Doors open at 6:15pm.
Of the 24 teams from last year, the team name winners were “No Idea at All”, “Perfect Strangers” and “Krusty Demons”.  Will this be your year to be on a winning team?
