Welcome to Stanthorpe State School

Stanthorpe State School is a co-educational institution that caters to students from prior to preparatory through to Year 6. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment that helps children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

One of the key programs offered is the Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP), designed to support families with children who have a disability. More information about this program is available under the “Student Services and Support Programs“ tab on the school’s website.

The school also implements the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework, incorporating the Berry Street Education Model. This approach focuses on helping children engage with positive and appropriate behaviours necessary for their learning, particularly through trauma-informed practices.

Stanthorpe State School recognises that each child brings a unique set of skills, understandings, and experiences that contribute to their personal development. The dedicated staff at the school work to nurture these individual qualities and help shape the future of every student.

Students are encouraged to explore a wide range of interests, including sporting, cultural, artistic, and academic pursuits. Opportunities for participation are available at the school, district, and regional levels, allowing students to grow and develop in various areas.

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make, as it greatly influences a child’s future. The school looks forward to engaging with families and discussing how Stanthorpe State School can be the best place for their child’s educational journey.
