Australia Day celebration planned for the Granite Belt

The Granite Belt community is set to enjoy a unique Australia Day celebration in 2025, thanks to the combined efforts of the Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, Stanthorpe Sports Association, Rotary Club of Stanthorpe, Rotary Club of The Granite Belt, Lions Club of Stanthorpe, and Zonta Stanthorpe Inc.

This is truly an event run by the community, for the community, showcasing the power of collaboration and the pride we have in our region.

The day will feature a special awards ceremony to honour outstanding residents and recognise their contributions to making the Granite Belt such a vibrant place to live.

There will also be food stalls, drinks, games and activities and entertainment. Entry will be free.

“This event is about celebrating what makes our community great,” said a spokesperson for the group.

“We’re proud to be coming together to create something special that reflects the values and spirit of our region.”

Further event details, including award categories, activities, and entertainment, will be released in the coming weeks.

“We encourage everyone to mark Australia Day in their calendar and join us for a celebration filled with pride, fun, and community spirit. This will be a day to remember, bringing locals together to commemorate Australia Day in a meaningful and uniquely Granite Belt way.”

Event Details:

Date: Australia Day, January 26, 2025

Location: CF White oval Stanthorpe
