The statue of Thomas Byrnes in Warwick’s CBD was once more sporting a new decoration earlier this week, continuing the now months-long tradition of new items appearing on or around it.
The statue could be seen with a white guide post, assumed to have been taken from the highway.
Last week, an item appeared in TJ Byrnes’ hand that could not immediately be identified.
Some locals speculated the blue item was a fan, a mask, and even a competition medal.
Unfortunately, as neither of our journalists are game to climb the statue to get a good look, we still don’t have solid confirmation on what the item is.
